Rachel, Day by Day

What a beautiful day! I ran a bunch of errands this morning and then decided to take a walk in Meadowbrook Park in Urbana. It’s such a nice park. This sculpture is near the beginning of the trail. It looks like a human head on an animal body, maybe a dog since it has a tail. It is really cool looking! I like the red and yellow colored squares as the body. The human head doesn’t look very happy, though. Maybe he’s not happy that he’s stuck in an animal body. Well, I think it’s cool looking.
So, you know how tinted windows on cars are illegal? I just saw a sign today on the side of the road that they are legal now. I’m not sure why people really need tinted windows, unless they really don’t want to be seen or they want to hide something. I can see how they are dangerous; it’s probably a little bit harder to see outside your side windows. I wonder why it’s legal again. I can’t imagine a lot of people complaining that they are illegal. I could be wrong about that, though.
I’m watching Most Haunted Places in America on the travel right now. They mentioned Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Kentucky that was for tuberculosis patients. I guess thousands of people died there and it’s really haunted. I’m tempted to look it up and see if there are tours! It’s close enough to drive there. Who’s with me? I could definitely not go by myself. I would be too scared.
I’m also watching the Blackhawks right now! They need to win one more game, and then they’ll play for the Stanely Cup! They are tired right now in the second period, so we’ll see what happens! If you are interested in finding out what happens, turn on NBC right now!
Have a good Sunday!

Dear Rachel:
I’d be willing to proof read for you, as per stanley cup.

Thanks for correcting me, Grandpa! Why is it called the Stanley Cup anyway? Did a guy named Stanley come up with that? By the way, proofread is usually one word, too.

Go to this website and it explains the origin of the Stanley Cup. It was named for Canada’s Lord Stanley.

Ooh, I’ve read about that place in Kentucky – it does sound super-creepy! I wonder if Ghosthunters have gone there…
