Rachel, Day by Day
This photo was taken this morning around 6:40 a.m. before I headed off to work. Since the weather is getting warmer, beautiful bunnies are showing up outside again! This bunny seemed a little bit more relaxed than a normal bunny. I slowly took a few steps toward him or her (I’ll name it Taylor for now since that can be a boy or girl name), and Taylor did not run away! Of course, Taylor does look a little frozen out of fear and didn’t move much. Taylor definitely put a smile on my face this morning. It’s only appropriate that I start my photo blog with a bunny picture. I have seen bunnies while walking to my car in the morning before, and I always think it’s a good start to the day. 🙂 Also, as you can see in this photo, it is one of the few mornings lately where it was bright enough to take a photo! I’m glad I can go to work now when it’s not completely dark outside. Now, I’ll just go ahead and dream that one day a bunny will run up to me and want to play instead of run away from me!

Yeah, I’m afraid Taylor might have been employing the whole, “if I remain perfectly still, the predator will not notice me” tactic–but that’s only because he doesn’t really know you.
I love his little baby bunny ears! I saw a big rabbit over at my place the other night as I was coming back (it may have been from bowling?). There’s also a squirrel around here who has lost most of its tail and always looks like a bunny until I get a better look at him.
