Rachel, Day by Day
This autographed Bobby Hull sweater (I wanted to say jersey, but my brother would kill me) is standing proudly in the middle of my mom’s family room wall. I’ll never forget that moment when my mom and I got his autograph. For those of you who don’t know him, Bobby Hull is one of the best hockey players in the history of the game. He played for the Blackhawks from the ’50s to the ’70s and is in the Hall of Fame now. My mom and I were near the back of line (this was in the summer of 2009 by the way) and he was supposed to stop giving autographs, but he decided to stay later. My mom’s face lit up. I’m pretty sure Bobby called me a doll when I thanked him for the autograph. It was a moment I’ll never forget, mainly because I saw so much happiness in my mom.
The Blackhawks are in the playoffs, and in the running for the Stanley Cup! It would be awesome if they won. Now the Cubs need to win, but it has been over 100 years since they won the World Series. I won’t talk about that anymore and depress you.
Well, I’m home now! It’s good to be here. 🙂
It is good to have you home!!! 🙂
