Day 468: Oranges

Rachel, Day by Day

Color Challenge: Orange Day 6

Well, how could I get through orange week without a bunch of oranges? Here they are for you! Did you know you could buy half oranges (see middle of photo)? I didn’t know that was possibly. Luckily it’s wrapped up, but still, I’d feel weird doing that. I like how this photo turned out with the half orange in the middle. Scott and I stopped at the store to get some cookies, so that gave me an opportunity to take this photo of oranges. I actually haven’t eaten an orange in a while. I like them, but I never liked how my fingers smell like oranges the rest of the day after peeling one. I should try one soon, especially since it’s orange week! Maybe tomorrow.

It was a nice lazier day! I really wanted to be lazy so I could get over my silly cold. I’m actually proud of myself and made a really good dinner tonight; it was Italian chicken and macaroni and cheese. The Italian chicken was made in the crock pot. I threw in chicken, mushrooms, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings. Mmmm, it was really good. I made mac and cheese with basil, tomatoes, and garlic powder, too. I really liked both of these and I’m glad I have leftovers! I should really cook more. Crock pot meals are so easy, too!

Scott and I went out with Brendan, Anne, and her parents tonight for a bit. That was a good time! Her parents are really nice and I’m glad I got to meet them. I can tell Anne misses her parents a lot. It made me miss my family, too. I hope they visit me sometime soon.

Has anyone joined Pinterest lately? I’m obsessed with it! There are so many cool things and ideas on this website. I’ve seen a lot of nice wedding ideas, recipes, clothes, places to go, and so much more! If you haven’t, you should really join. It’s very addicting, though. I might go check it out now, actually.
