Rachel, Day by Day
Happy New Year, everyone! Here’s is a photo of some awesome pie pants. I will have to explain! We celebrated my friend Jillian’s birthday this past Friday, and Kate made these awesome apple pie pants. Jillian had to explain it to me, but there’s an episode from The Simpsons where Homer says pie pants as though they sound delicious. Click here to see the clip from the show. It is funny! Jillian liked that part from the episode, so Kate made her this great dessert. Aren’t they awesome? There’s even a belt! And I love apple pie. Good times!
For Jillian’s birthday, we went to Seven Saints for dinner and drinks and then watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail. That movie is hilarious! It was a fun night with friends.
Let’s see… what else have I been up to lately? Not too much because of the snowy and cold January. We’ve been watching a lot of movies lately and had a movie night this past week with Scott’s cousin, Mickey. We watched The Hulk and Man of Steel. I learned that I’m not a huge fan of Superman movies, but I liked The Hulk. Scott and I also watched The Illusionist last night; I REALLY liked that! Edward Norton was great in that and he definitely tricked me! I recommend seeing it.
I’ve been working on scanning all of my old family photos for a while now, and I’m actually getting close to being done. Unless I find more random photos around my mom’s house, which might happen! I’m almost done with the photo albums, though. I’ve been having way too much fun reliving my childhood while scanning these photos. It’s been making me a bit emotional lately. But I’m glad we will have digital files of all of them!
I should do another Double Take soon. Stay tuned!
