Rachel, Day by Day
Tastee Freez. They call it Tastee Freez. These words bother me. Wait, let me rephrase that. The spelling of these words bothers me. It’s supposed to be Tasty Freeze! Apparently words that are misspelled for “creative” reasons annoy me more than I thought. I guess Dunkin’ Donuts and Kopper Kitchen bother me, too. (Kopper Kitchen is a restaurant in my hometown, but it is a yummy place!) I think the double e in Tastee bothers me more than the missing e in Freez. It just doesn’t like right, or good! I am never going to call it Tastee Freez. I’m going to call it Wienerschnitzel, which was the original name. By the way, I have eaten there before. I tried a corn dog there for the first time and I really liked it! Now I have a craving for one.
So, I stopped at Walgreens after work to get a few things, and I see three girls standing front of the many pregnancy tests available. They looked younger than me, I would guess late teens or early twenties. One of them whispered “Shit” to the other girl. I don’t know why she said that, but I’m guessing it’s because they aren’t cheap. The first thought was that I felt bad for her, the one actually having to take the test. My second thought was that I can’t imagine being a parent now, but I definitely can’t imagine myself being a parent to a 3 or 4 year old right now. Life is crazy sometimes and I guess we deal with unexpected events all the time. I’m just glad I’m not dealing with this unexpected event right now in my life!
Well, tomorrow is Friday! Woo hoo!
