Rachel, Day by Day
I know what you all are wondering. How could my friend Christina (see above) grow that thick of a mustache? Ok, that’s probably not what you are wondering. Christina visited me this weekend and we had a great time!! We were at Urban Outfitters in the above photo. It’s a pretty cool store, but most things weren’t really my style. It was fun to walk around in there, though. Christina is actually pretending to drink out of a flask and apparently when you hold it up, it looks like you have a mustache! Good times. I’m tempted to buy this for someone. Would you like one??
I’m really glad she visited. We ate some awesome pizza at Jupiter’s; it was barbecue chicken pizza. Mmmm. We were at Jupiter’s for a while just talking and hanging out. It was great! I haven’t had one-on-one time with Christina in a really long time, so it was fun just talking and catching up on things. We then went back to my apartment and watched Rango. I thought it would be cute and funny, but in my opinion, it wasn’t at all. The jokes were sometimes geared toward adults, but I didn’t find them very funny. And they used a lot of big words that kids wouldn’t understand. Plus, it got a bit racist at times! I don’t recommend this movie, but who knows. Maybe you’ll like it!
On Saturday morning, we got pedicures! It was nice and relaxing. Then we met up with Scott and went to Za’s for lunch. Delicious! We then went to campus and met up with Wes (Christina’s husband). He was working at the Illinois Science Olympiad for high schoolers and middle schoolers (he’s a high school chemistry teacher). We did watch a few events and it was really cool. We walked around campus a lot (luckily it turned out to be a nice day) and even got some yummy frozen yogurt. We were silly and decided to mimic the alma mater. Here’s another photo for you!
Yep. We are awesome! Good times. We also had some really awesome sushi for dinner later. I’m so glad Christina visited; I had a great time with you!!!
Scott and I watched the Blackhawks Saturday night. It was an intense game, but they won!! Now the series is tied 1-1. I hope they can keep the small winning streak going. They seem to be at the same level as Phoenix, though, which will probably make the rest of the games intense, too. I’m so nervous!!
Well, Amazing Race is almost on. Don’t forget to watch! Have a relaxing Sunday evening.
